Blockchain in Supply Chain Transparency, Flexibility, and Supplier Trust in a Lean Perspective A Study of PT. Siam Cement Group Yogyakarta
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study examines to analyze the role of blockchain technology in supporting transparency, flexibility, and supplier trust through Lean Supply Chain techniques at PT Siam Cement Group Yogyakarta. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing in-depth narrative interviews and direct observation of the implementation of the RMC NET system. Data were gathered from key informants involved in operational activities and system usage, then analyzed through open coding, categorization, cross-informant comparison, and triangulation. The findings indicate that blockchain enhances information visibility and traceability, cross-functional integration, and decision-making rapidity. These factors foster internal transparency, operational flexibility, and the implementation of a Lean Supply Chain by improving process efficiency, productivity, inventory management, delivery performance, processing time, and quality. However, blockchain has not directly shaped supplier trust, which is instead more significantly influenced by performance track records, consistency, communication, and direct interaction.
